As a Data and Automation Engineer at IAG, you will be responsible for building and implementing Python scripts from concept to production. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, software engineers, and domain experts, to address business problems and create scalable and efficient data engineering and automation solutions.
What will the day-to-day look like?
Design, build, and deploy Python scripts to address specific business problems. Collaborate with data specialist to understand requirements and objectives.
Design and implement scripts that consume REST and other APIs in the retrieval of transactional data.
Implement feedback loops and mechanisms to continuously improve the accuracy and scripts. Stay proactive in identifying and addressing potential issues.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and ensure that machine learning solutions align with organizational goals.
Create comprehensive documentation for scripts, algorithms, and deployment processes. Ensure knowledge transfer and support for other team members.

Valuable Technical Background:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
2+ years of Python development experience
Extensive experience with Pandas and large dataframes
Experience working with Numpy for calculations
Experience calling REST APIs from within a Python script
Experience with JSON data structures
Experience reading and writing to RDBMS and flat flies
Familiarity with big data technologies and cloud platforms.
