AI Delivery Lead

What’s the challenge?

This role is focused on AI delivery excellence within a large-scale aviation transformation programme. The successful candidate will bring structure, pace and discipline to cross-functional squads, improving the path from Discovery through Build and Release.

The role does not own individual AI products or technical solutions. Instead, it owns the delivery rhythm, planning, risk management, dependencies, governance and continuous improvement practices that enable Product, Engineering and Data Science teams to deliver predictable value at scale.

What will the day-to-day look like?

● Establish a consistent delivery cadence across Discovery, Build and Release phases.

● Lead agile estimation, release planning and prioritisation across several AI squads.

● Maintain accurate and transparent delivery plans, making assumptions, dependencies, milestones and risks visible.

● Facilitate alignment between Product, Engineering and Data Science teams to secure realistic and team-owned commitments.

● Drive disciplined Discovery by clarifying objectives, hypotheses, risks and acceptance criteria.

● Monitor delivery progress during Build, managing release plans, scope trade-offs and contingency options.

● Own RAID management as an active execution tool, ensuring risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies are identified, assigned and resolved.

● Escalate blockers quickly, providing clear ownership, action plans and decision options.

● Ensure strong JIRA hygiene, including accurate tickets, clear ownership, current dates and well-defined acceptance criteria.

● Deliver concise, decision-oriented updates to senior stakeholders and leadership teams.

● Track and improve estimation accuracy, delivery predictability, velocity and overall squad performance.

● Identify opportunities to optimise processes, governance, tooling, handoffs and the overall flow from idea to value.

● Partner with Technical Leads to reduce manual effort across build, testing and release pipelines and improve visibility around technical debt.

● Support team effectiveness, resource continuity and performance improvement across the delivery organisation.

●Ensure that audit-ready documentation and delivery evidence are generated as part of the normal workflow.

What are we looking for?

● Proven delivery leadership experience in complex, cross-functional environments involving Product, Engineering, Data Science and business teams.

● Strong experience with agile delivery at scale, including estimation, planning, dependency management and release predictability.

● Experience coordinating and tracking the work of multiple agile delivery squads using JIRA.

● Strong knowledge of risk, issue and dependency management.

● Ability to bring clarity, structure and execution discipline to complex programmes with multiple stakeholders.

● Data-driven approach to delivery, with experience using metrics to improve team performance and predictability.

● Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, including the ability to work across teams without direct formal authority.

● Clear and confident communication, with the ability to present options, trade-offs, risks and decisions to senior leadership.

● Professional fluency in Spanish and English.

● Availability to travel regularly across different business locations.

● Experience delivering AI/ML products, aviation, MRO or high-reliability operational environments would be highly valued.
