Data Scientist – Predictive Maintenance

What will be your purpose?

We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to design, develop and deploy machine learning solutions supporting predictive maintenance initiatives within the aviation sector. The role combines advanced data science expertise with production-grade engineering capabilities, delivering business value through scalable and reliable ML products.

What will the day-to-day look like?

• Develop and deploy end-to-end ML solutions in production environments.

• Build predictive maintenance models for complex physical assets.

• Apply advanced ML techniques including XGBoost, SHAP and explainability methods.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to define requirements and prioritize initiatives.

• Contribute to product roadmap definition and solution adoption.

• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior data scientists.

• Explore and evaluate innovative approaches such as Causal ML.

• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams across international locations.

Valuable Background:

• Extensive experience in applied Machine Learning.

• Strong Python and ML engineering skills.

• Experience deploying ML models into production.

• Expertise in XGBoost, SHAP and model interpretability.

• Predictive maintenance experience in aviation, industrial, automotive or similar sectors.

• Experience influencing stakeholders and driving business impact.

• Causal ML knowledge is a plus.

• Barcelona-based (3 days/week) with regular travel to the UK.
